Every year the Ithaca College Mock Trial team hosts an invitational competition for colleges across the east coast, and as we prepare for our 6th Annual Bomber Blitz Tournament, we are searching for individuals who would be interested in judging one or more trials.
Each team participating at the tournament has received a criminal case from the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) and uses the provided materials to prepare and preform an imitation trial. For each trial there will be two judges, one of which will act as the presiding judge. Both judges will be tasked with scoring each team based on their performance. No prior collegiate mock trial knowledge is required to act as a judge. We will provide you with all materials and instructions that you will need.
This year’s tournament is scheduled to be held on December 7-8, 2019. For timing purposes, only two trials will be held on each day and you can judge as many or as few trials as you would like. Should you decide to judge a morning trial, a light breakfast will be made available to you. If you decide to stay for a full day (2 rounds), lunch will be provided for you as well.
If you are interested in taking part please contact the Tournament Director Elect, Sasha Audier-Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org or Markiesha Morgan at email@example.com. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. Enjoy the rest of your summer! We look forward to hearing from you.
